Connecticut Drug Testing – Drug Free, The Only Way To Go

There are many who place a great deal of importance in knowing they are working in a “Drug-free Workplace”. This enables a worker to feel secure in knowing their co-workers are not going to endanger their safety because they are under the influence of drugs. Although the majority of businesses in Connecticut have the option of using Connecticut drug testing to create this type of environment, those businesses receiving Government grants, or are completing Government contracts must follow the “Federal Drug-free Workplace Act of 1988”. This act doesn’t mandate regular drug testing, but there are requirements which can be difficult to meet without the tests.
The easiest way to maintain a drug-free workplace is to first initiate Connecticut drug testing. In addition, a company policy which prohibits the use of drugs should be given to each employee to sign, showing their agreement to follow said policy. Just as with safety, regular meetings should be held where portions of the drug policy are discussed as well as allotting sufficient time for employee participation. Although this may be difficult to achieve, employees should be encouraged to report incidents of drug use by their coworkers.
